This homeowner had a dream of creating a dramatic underground parking area for his world-class collection of Ferraris and specialty cars. The home was limited to a conventional two-car garge at the street level, but by using a lift, the basement could be designed as a complete man-cave and vehicle parking area.
The solution was a custom Carparx VTS-2 subterranean lift system that would lower cars to the basement level where they could be driven off the lift and parked. In combination with a turntable, vehicles can be parked in a radial configuration. The system integrates two vehicle platforms with a patented scissors lifting system and telescoping vertical posts. The system was installed in a single day.
