Semi-Automated Combilift Parking at 295 West First StreetWöhr Combilift 551 puzzle lift, 95 spaces, mixed-use development in South Boston, MA
295 West First Street is a six-story, 236-unit mixed-use development in South Boston, spanning approximately 226,000 square feet on the site of a former industrial crane yard. The project includes 36 income-restricted units, activated ground-floor retail and community space, and a new publicly accessible park — “The Yard” — at the corner of West First and West Second Streets, with garage parking and direct proximity to the BCEC and Broadway. To deliver dedicated resident parking on the site, we installed the Wöhr Combilift 551, an independent-access, pit-based parking lift system that stacks two vehicles per bay while allowing either car to be retrieved without moving the other. The installation provides 95 parking spaces.
